By accessing and using PICSEL (picselmanifesto.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
PICSEL is a collaborative digital art project where participants acquire individual picsels (pixel-sized units) on a shared canvas. Each picsel represents a fragment of a public domain artwork selected by the participant. Upon completion of a campaign iteration, an AI system synthesizes all fragments into a single emergent artwork.
Each picsel costs €1 plus applicable processing fees. Picsel acquisitions are final and non-refundable. By completing a purchase, you grant PICSEL the right to use your selected fragment and associated data as part of the collective artwork.
Source artworks are in the public domain. The collective emergent artwork created by PICSEL's AI is owned by PICSEL. Participants retain the right to their individual postcard (the fragment they selected) for personal, non-commercial use.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. PICSEL uses magic link authentication — no passwords are stored. You must provide a valid email address.
You may not: attempt to acquire picsels through automated means, interfere with the platform's operation, impersonate other users, or use the platform for unlawful purposes.
PICSEL is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
