There are two types of picsell acquisitions.
Individual picsells cover quantities from 1 to 8. Each one is independent: you place it separately on the canvas, assign its own fragment from the art history library, and set its own content/style directive. Every individual picsell is a distinct, autonomous voice in AION's synthesis.
Squared picsells begin at 9 and exist only as perfect squares — 3×3, 4×4, 5×5, and so on up to 30×30. They occupy a single contiguous block on the canvas, and instead of multiple independent choices, you assign one image scaled to fill the entire area. The directive applies to the block as a whole. The larger the square, the more visible and unified your presence in the final work.
Both types are permanently inscribed in the canvas. The difference is between several small, independent decisions and one deliberate, larger one.
